Terms and Conditions – The Epicurean
CONDITIONS OF SALE
The items listed in this shop and auctions, as may be amended by notice or auction house announcement, are offered for sale by L'Épicurien on their own behalf.
These Terms and Conditions of Sale constitute the complete terms and conditions under which items will be offered for sale. All purchasers of alcoholic beverages through the auction must be eighteen (18) years of age or older, according to Quebec law. Proof of age may be required prior to the transfer of any purchased goods, including, but not limited to, the provision of photo identification.
CONDITION OF THE WINES
Lots are sold "as is" without recourse. Neither L'Épicurien nor the auctioneer can give any warranty of any kind on the lots. Nor will they be liable in any way for errors in descriptions, or defects. All warranties and conditions implied by law are hereby excluded. No one will have any recourse against L'Épicurien or the auctioneer for any irregularity or illegality in the sale, in the conduct of the sale or in the lots. The wines will be exhibited before the auction. It is the buyer's responsibility to inspect the items to ensure their condition as described and presented on the website.
REGISTRATION
All buyers must be registered and will be subject to credit card verification. A charge of approximately $1.00 will be collected and then refunded to ensure the card's legitimacy.
BID
The sale will be held by lot number, as indicated in the catalog/website. Lots will be sold as described. However, the auctioneer may withdraw, combine, or divide lots at his or her discretion. Bidding increases are at the auctioneer's discretion. All bids are in Canadian dollars. Purchased lots are subject to a 17.5% commission fee plus taxes. The highest bidder recognized by the auctioneer will be the buyer. The auctioneer has the right to reject any bid and determine the successful bidder in the event of a dispute between bidders. The auctioneer also has the right to reoffer and resell the disputed item. In the event of a dispute after the sale, the final sale record of L'Épicurien will be conclusive.

This sale is made through L'Épicurien vins d'exception, acting as agent for the Société des alcools du Québec.
PAYMENT
Items purchased at auction must be paid for immediately. No deliveries will be made until full payment has been received. Payments can be made by Visa, MasterCard, or Interac transfer.
PICKUP AND DELIVERY
Unless other arrangements have been made in advance, purchases must be picked up at the time of sale no later than five (5) business days after the conclusion of the sale. The buyer may request delivery, for which he will be financially responsible.
RESERVATIONS
Some lots are offered subject to a reserve or opening bid. The auctioneer may open bidding on any lot by placing consecutive bids on behalf of L'Épicurien, but only up to the reserve.
